Ok everyone.  This is it.  I am now officially opening a new blog: tims_kim.  No more theunprincess.  See you at my new site!

More random thoughts....(that's what life is, isn't it?)
  • I'm thinking of starting a new blog here on xanga.  It would be either tims_kim or timskim.
  • Tim and I played pool at the union last night.  I beat him 3 games to 2.  Actually, he beat himself most of the time by hitting in the 8 ball so I can't brag too much.
  • Indiana goes to daylight savings time this weekend.  I'm pretty pumped but most Hoosiers think this is an apocalyptic event.  "Then the whores move in."  (Tommy Boy)
  • It's getting closer to when Char will move to Chicago.  Sad day for me and Purdue, awesome for her.
  • I downloaded my first iTunes song yesterday.  It was "Collide" by Howie Day.  I can see how it would be super easy to spend tons of money there and not realize it.  $1/song seems so cheap and you can get a huge variety of songs.

Random thoughts from this week.....
  • Thursday, March 23-the day the heat came on.  We harassed our landlord long enough and when we finally proposed buying a space heater and taking it out of our rent he managed to find a way to turn up the heat.  Now we actually have to crack some windows to keep it cool enough.
  • Kate Mehne gives some awesome compliments.  One of them from last week is still joyfully bouncing around in my head.  She's the best!
  • After coming home from PCB ordinary life can't help but be anti-climactic.
  • I bought wood bead necklaces today.  I don't usually wear jewelry so this will be quite a stretch for me.....Kim Riley had to hold my hand while I bought them.
  • My rockin' Friday night plans: quilting while watching What Not to Wear with Kim and Katie.  Another fun part of the evening-singing along with "What the World needs now, is love sweet love..." (we caught an hour of "My Best Friend's Wedding")   It was quite the scene: the 3 of us stitching away and singing along quietly.  Tim was also in the room-I think he got a bit of a chuckle at us.
  • Galahad, our long haired Persian is no longer with us.  He now belongs to Tim's mom.  And there was much rejoicing.  (half the amount of cat hair to clean up).
  • I'm off to enjoy a warm brownie with mint chocolate chip ice cream on top (inspired by Laura Shunta).

It's the last day of Big Break:(  Here are some highlights:
Shanda blowing me a kiss goodnight
Margo: "I feel old" (because she and Lauren are hanging out with staff who are quilting late at night)
Quilting sessions (I think it's really funny that Kim, Katie and I were quilting on spring break)
Poolside chat with Char
Sharing on the beach with Lauren
Bikini line evangelism (stand in the huge line for free American Eagle bikinis and talk with people.  It's the equivalent of sports evangelism I think.  We didn't actually get into any good convos but the idea was great).
"Hook up Flavor" mints from MTV
Rooming with the Mehne's
Free flip flops from AE and the grandmas in line behind us who wanted to run us over
The gorgeous sun!
Seeing Purdue students go for it in evangelism every day

It's our last day here and it's a free day so there will probably be more  highlights to come.  We'll start our drive back to cold IN tonight (big frown).  I've never gone on a warm spring break trip before so I've never had to make the transition back to cold weather.  I've gotten used to 70's and sun every day.  At least I'll look warm with my tan:)

Margo has a blog now too!  This is awesome.  Soon everyone in McCutcheon and Shreve will have one.  I think this is part of making disciples....
